CPA KAKAI RE-APPOINTED AS ICPAK VICE CHAIRMAN

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) council has announced the reappointment of CPA Philip Kakai as ICPAK Vice Chairman for another term of one year. CPA Kakai’s appointment is effective July 1st, 2022. With over 20 years of extensive experience in leadership, Financial Accounting and Management, Budget management, Audit, and Project Management, CPA Kakai will continue to provide pivotal support to the chairman, and the entire Institute’s council in achieving its mandate.

A distinguished finance and accounting guru, CPA Kakai has served the Institute in various capacities for over 8 years. While accepting the appointment, CPA Kakai said, “I am honoured to continue serving as ICPAK’s Vice Chairman. It has been the privilege of a lifetime to serve the profession during these exceptional times. I look forward to continuing working with my colleagues in council and policy-makers
to champion accountability and prudence in the use of public resources for the benefit of all Kenyans.”
CPA Kakai was first appointed as ICPAK’s Vice Chairman in 2021, following an open, transparent, and merit-based selection process by the council.
